To most parents a cake smash is a new experience so here are the top five things to know:
- At Annabelle Smith Photography I have been creating cake smash artwork and set ups since 2013, I have a vivid imagination and we can create a personalised cake smash for your child so please feel free to ask about a custom cake smash. My clients travel from all over Surrey, Hampshire and London to experience my unique cake smashes.
- There are three stages to your cake smash the first stage is the non messy photography and play time with the balloons and props. This is where we get your little one to pose and giggle with the help from their family or close friends dancing and singing to get the biggest smiles for your cake smash artwork.
The second stage is where the cake is introduced to the session and we capture your child’s reaction to the cake and how they explore sensory play with the new textures and capturing their expressions at this time is just amazing to watch.
The third stage is splash time, this is where your little one gets a tub filled with bubbles and they can play and wash off all the yummy cake before they go home. We can capture some beautiful images during this time as most children love bath time and parents or friends can again encourage them with dancing and singing behind me to get the most perfect artwork. - All our cakes are made on the premises so we all know your cake is child friendly and made with love just for your child to enjoy safely.
- The studio is a small size but this is ideal for your little one, we can focus on them and the backdrop and if they decide to move from their cake smash set up they cannot get too far away, this allows you to carry them back with ease. You can sit near your child during the session. The maximum amount of adults that can attend a cake smash with the child is two, this is for health and safety and so I can create your perfect cake smash artwork with space to move around the studio.
- Everything is provided for you, so that is bath towels, outfits, props, the cake and balloon. This means you wont need to take anything covered in cake home. You can always bring your own outfit but please ensure you place it inside a carry bag as it will be covered in cake. The one or two adults that attend along with myself will get cake and frosting on their clothes so I recommend wearing clothing that can be washed easily.
